“You Can’t Get There From Here” Hits the Spot on the Knob

DSCN1785 DSCN1786 DSCN1787 DSCN1788 DSCN1789 DSCN1790The three performances of the comedy “You Can’t Get There From Here”,  written by Pat Cook and performed by our very own SKITS players opened on November 7th and ran through three sold out performances.  The play opened with a dazed and confused Arthur Lyman played by the talented Jim Robinson staggering into the Mavis Garner Bed and Breakfast after wrecking his car in a large pot hold on Main Street. He is quickly given numerous  tickets for doing nothing more than being the victim of the the town who voted to keep the pot hold as it slowed people down.  It  was better than a speed bump in   obtaining dollars from auto repairs and overnight stays at the Mavis Garner Bed and Breakfast.  Arthur decides to spin this story to his boss reporting the “scam” as part of his job as reporter of a nationally known scandal newspaper. Staying on at the hotel he finds love and “madness”  The cast does a wonderful job in this up-beat comedy.  Kudos to those actors who memorized over 400 lines of dialogue and spent hours rehearsing this comedy.  They are truly a great group bringing entertainment to the “KNOB”. Actors were; Ann the niece, Sue Ramonette, Arthur, scandal Sheet reporter played by Jim Robinson, Dolores Van Damm, played by Kathy Vice, well done! Horace McClintock played by Ron Holmberg, Liz played by Lori Reaves, a true tart, well done, Myrtle, played by Karin Stanley left me Spellbound! , Queenie played by Barb Van Dusen, a great sarcastic wit.  Comedy is your forte!
