  Jim Robinson,

                    Actor, Writer, Musician

Jim Robinson didn’t get serious about acting until later in life, when his daughter signed up for an acting class in college and persuaded him to participate.

He joined the “Ramona Desperadoes” and performed old west gunfight and stunt shows at various competitions in California as well as at Knott’s Berry Farm and Calico Ghost Town. Also, he was involved with several community theatres in the San Diego area. Most recently, Jim performed with Mid-West Regional Ballet in Joplin and Pittsburg Community Theatre in Pittsburg, KS.

Jim retired and moved to Shell Knob with his love, Carol, last summer.  In his spare time he enjoys fishing and restoring his 1969 VW Bus. He’s currently finishing the recording of two albums of songs that he wrote, played the instruments and sang.

With his extensive theatre experience, Jim started SKITS (Shell Knob In The Spotlight).  He said “There is an abundance of local talent in acting and other performing art venues that will enhance our community through SKITS.”

Jim is a member of CASK (Creative Arts of Shell Knob), where his collection of daily devotions are on display.  The CASK art gallery is located in Bridgeway Plaza, next to Jim’s Sattelite in Shell Knob, and it’s open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.

“There is no end,” Jim said, “to the dreams we can weave together.”
