Shell Knob Public Library

New Hours:

New hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30-5:30.

Library Card Month

September is Library Card Month!  If you do not have a library card and would like one please stop in and we will get you hooked up.  Also if you live in the Shell Knob Zip Code but are in Stone County, we can get you a complementary family card.  


On the front table in the library, we are displaying our third round of PBS’s top 100 popular books.  Please join us in “The Great American Read” and Check out these books.  You can vote by going to the PBS Website.  Over the next several weeks, several of the libraries will be hosting special events to go along with the Great American Read.  Stop by your local library for more information.

Public Meetings

We will be at the Lions Monthly Meeting on September 24th and at Central Crossing Senior Center on September 25th at 11:00 to talk to the public about the plans for the new building.  

Friends of the Library

The Next Friends of the Library Meeting will be on Monday October 15th at 11:00 a.m.   These meetings are open to the public.


We will be kicking off Story time on September 26th at 10:00 A.M.   Please stop by the Library to pre-register your child.

The Book club will meet on October 15th at 10:00.
